Everyone is uniquely different and has differing priorities and preferences.

How we can help

Over 113,000 individuals suffer a stroke each year in the UK, there are around 1 million stroke survivors currently. Stroke strikes every five minutes, and it can affect anyone of any age.
It happens when the blood supply to part of the brain is cut off, killing brain cells. Damage to the brain can affect how the body works. It can also change how people think and feel.

Stroke can have many different effects on someone, including problems with mobility, swallowing and continence. It can affect their vision, and cause communication problems, fatigue and problems with memory and concentration. It can also have emotional effects, like depression and anxiety. It can also cause personality changes. These changes can have a big impact on everyone in a family as well as the stroke survivor.

When a person is able to return from hospital and continue their recovery at home, our highly skilled team will work together with GPs, Occupational Therapist and specialist stroke nurses, towards improving the quality of life of our clients in order to support each individual to reach their full potential.

Some of the areas that we can provide support with include:

  • Relearning daily living skills
  • Rehabilitation exercises
  • Personal care, getting in and out of bed, bathing, dressing
  • Feeding
  • Support with daily living tasks such as cooking or domestic cleaning

Our fundamental focus is always on high quality care, supporting wellbeing, growth and development.
