Everyone is uniquely different and has differing priorities and preferences.

How we can help

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a neurological condition – that means it affects your nerves. It is caused by your immune system mistakenly attacking the brain and nerves. It’s not clear why this happens.

According to leading charity, the MS Society, there is an estimated 7,000 people newly diagnosed every year in the UK, meaning one in 500 people in the UK are living with the condition and it affects almost three times as many women as it does men.

Being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis will affect everybody differently and can take various forms. You can live well with the condition, in the safety and familiarity of your own home, maintaining as much independence as possible with the right level of care and support. Through a detailed initial assessment of needs we design a person-centred tailored to you support. Whether its medication management, undertaking household chores or preparing meals, our focus is to actively support you to adapt and overcome any limitations, ensuring that the things important in your life, which may include your employment, attending university and socialising, are still maintained.

From its beginnings Accolade Support and Care have been supporting people living with MS to live a fulfilled and purposeful life in the comfort of their own home. Our support workers receive a regular MS specific training to understand the condition well and support you accordingly to your needs.
